LOUISIANA — A new generation of Louisiana priests has been reinventing the way they work, with a new style of service and a renewed focus on faith.

The Rev. David S. Davenport of New Orleans’ Church of the Redeemer in the Redemptorist Society says he has seen the growth in his parish over the past five years.

Davenport was ordained in 1972.

He says that in that era, he could have easily had a career as a priest and had the money to pursue his religious faith.

He says he was able to work on the family farm in the South and the community church and found a way to work with the community to help people.

Davids work in New Orleans is in an area called Redemptoria, which is located on the southern edge of the city, in the city of New Bordeaux, just across the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge.

Davis work there has led to him being on the board of directors of a church there and serving on the Redemption Society.DAVIDSON’S ROLEPLAYED WORKIn the last five years, Davids work has taken him across the country and he says he sees a revival in how priests are being portrayed in movies, TV and in literature.

He said the change has been great.

Daves work in Redemptoric society has led him to being on a board of Directors for a church in the town of New Bevelle, which was established in 1854 and is located just a few miles from the Louisiana State University campus.

New Bordeac is home to about 8,000 people, including the Louisiana Public School System and some of the poorest and most isolated communities in the state.

But the New Orleans area is one of the fastest-growing in the nation, and many believe the church there is doing a good job of working with the poor and vulnerable.

This past year, Davds work has lead to a new kind of priest in the parish.

Daverson is the first priest in that community to become a member of the church.

He has been serving in that parish for more than five years and says he loves his work.

“I love being a priest, it is what I love,” Davids said.

“My faith is in God and I love the people that are there.

It is a great place to work.

They care for people and they give them the opportunity to be themselves and do what they love.”
